ABOUT OUR DOCTORS
Dr. Clarence J. Red, III
Dr. Clarence began his orthodontic practice with his father in 1997. Graduating
from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry Orthodontics graduate
program in 1997. Dr. Clarence is a board member and delegate of the Will County
Dental Society. He is also a member of the American Association of Orthodontists,
American Dental Association and World Federation of Orthodontists. Dr. Clarence
has been married to Linzette since 1995 and they have two children - daughter,
Summer and son, Morgan.
Dr. Clarence J. Red, Jr.
Dr. Clarence Red, Jr. began his orthodontic practice in 1967. He graduated from
Loyola University Dental School in 1963, and graduated from University Dental
School Orthodontic Program in 1965. Dr. Red, Jr. began his practice at 4 East
Clinton St., Joliet, Illinois in 1967. He was very active in the community;
a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary, Will County Dental Society, American
Association of Orthodontists and American Dental Association. Dr. Red, Jr. has
been married to his wife, Una since 1965 and have two children - Alexandria
Michelle and Clarence, III. He now spends much of his retirement playing golf,
traveling and playing with his grandchildren.
Dr. Maria Therese S. Galang
Dr. Maria Therese S. Galang is an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry. She obtained her dental degree (D.M.D.) from the University of the Philippines Manila in 2000. She then obtained her M.S. in Oral Sciences in 2004 and her Certificate in Orthodontics in 2007, both from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Galang has been appointed Pre-doctoral Orthodontics Course Director at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry and co-teaches the orthodontic technique course at the graduate level for the orthodontic residents. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics, and serves as a reviewer for the World Journal of Orthodontics. Dr. Galang has given lectures on temporary anchorage devices both locally and abroad.
Dr. Galang possesses great deal of knowledge in the field of orthodontics, but more important is her gift of empathy and compassion for the patients she treats. Dr. Galang has numerous non-professional interests. She enjoys taking walks through downtown Chicago and the lakeshore. Much of her off work time is dedicated to visiting with friends and colleagues.
